Ruth Roach Pierson, a former OISE professor of history and feminist studies, has published four poetry collections since her retirement in 2001: Where No Window Was (BuschekBooks, 2002), Aide-Mémoire (BuschekBooks, 2007), a Governor General's Award Nominee in 2008, CONTRARY (Tightrope Books, 2011), and Realignment (Palimpsest Press, 2015). In 2014 she published a chapbook of poems inspired by the work of photographer Joseph Sudek. In 2016 she published her second chapbook, Untranslatable Thought (Anstruther Press), a collection of ten centos. She is also the editor of I Found It at the Movies (Guernica Editions, 2014), an anthology of film poems. She will be publishing her fifth poetry manuscript, Till I Caught Myself, with Seraphim Editions in 2017.
